What skills and experience we're looking for

Samuel Ward Academy is looking for high-quality examination invigilators to cover internal and external exams. Being part of this team will involve supervising examinations to make sure that all regulations are adhered to and helping with related administration such as preparing scripts for dispatch to the examining board.

Full training will be provided. No experience is necessary, however invigilators should:

• Have effective communication skills
• Be able to relate to academic staff and students
• Be able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
• Have a flexible approach to work
• Have accuracy and attention to detail

This will be a casual contract, with no guaranteed hours. Hours worked will usually be between 8.30am and 4pm with an 8.30am or 12.15/12.45pm start. Exams are usually between one and two and a half hours. Hours are over approximately 13 weeks a year in February, May, June and November.
