What skills and experience we're looking for
We are looking for an individual who hasprevious IT support experience, preferably in an Education setting. The successful postholder will ideally have the following skills and experience:
- Experience of working in an ICT role
- Experience of managing a team or guiding workload
- Have strong communication and customer service skills
- Experience of educational software would be an advantage, but not essential, as full training will be provided.

We have an exciting new opportunity to join the team at Driffield School and Sixth Form as an IT Lead. This role provides day-to-day technical leadership and 1st/2nd-line support across Driffield school, ensuring reliable, secure and inclusive use of technology across the school site; responsibilities include hands-on support, mentoring on-site IT staff, managing accounts and assets (Active Directory, Microsoft 365, device lifecycle), leading e‑safety and safeguarding-aligned configurations, coordinating events and contractors, contributing to service improvement and strategy, maintaining security, documentation and compliance, and working occasionally out of hours; the role reports to the IT Senior Leadership Team Link (Assistant Headteacher), requires strong technical, communication and leadership skills, commitment to safeguarding and continuous professional development, the role offers MAT-supported training and professional development opportunities.
This is a permanent position working up to 37 hours per week, however If you are interested in working on a part time or flexible basis, please get in touch as we would be happy to explore this further with you.
Your actual salary upon appointment with Driffield School will be £28,142 (based on a full time equivalent).
