IT Operations Manager job summary
An exciting, life‑changing career with fabulous opportunities. Be part of something extraordinary.
Across our school sites in Buckinghamshire, Hampshire and Wokingham, we support young people with SEMH, ASC and EBSNA needs and that means ICT has to simply work, every day, on every site, for young people who don't do well with disruption.
We're looking for an IT Operations Manager to lead our in-house ICT Technician team and hold our outsourced ICT support provider to account, keeping infrastructure, licensing and assets in good order across all eleven school sites - including Orchard Way Academy, which joins the Trust from September 2026.
This is a hands-on delivery role, not a strategy-setting one: you'll implement the standards and budgets others set, and you'll be trusted to get on and deliver.

Join us—and help change lives, shape futures, and make a lasting impact.
Equality, Diversity and Inclusion are at the heart of everything we do. We actively promote a culture where everyone is treated fairly and has the opportunity to thrive.
Chiltern Way is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. The successful candidate will be required to undergo an enhanced DBS check. Chiltern Way Academy will comply with its obligations under the GDPR and other data protection legislation.
