👨‍💻 The Role

As our new IT Systems Engineer, you'll work across a cluster of schools in Northamptonshire and Bedfordshire, supported by our experienced remote team. You’ll play a key role in keeping our schools running efficiently, blending hands-on support with modern, cloud-based tools.

🛠️ You’ll be responsible for:

  • Scheduled on-site visits to provide friendly, expert IT support

  • Installing, configuring, and maintaining a variety of hardware and software

  • Troubleshooting issues with devices, networks, servers, and cloud services

  • Supporting staff and systems across Windows, Office 365, Azure, and more

  • Helping evolve our server-less and hybrid infrastructure


What We’re Looking For

Essentials:

  • At least 2 years’ experience in 1st and 2nd line IT support (customer-facing)

  • Strong skills in:

  • Windows 10+

  • Windows Server 2019+

  • Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, GPOs

  • Troubleshooting networks and devices

  • Clean, full UK driving licence (required for multi-site visits)

  • Excellent communication and organisational skills

Bonus Skills (Desirable, not essential):

  • Apple device support

  • AWS/cloud exposure

  • Ubiquiti networking

  • VOIP systems

  • Paxton Door Access / IP CCTV
