👨💻 The Role
As our new IT Systems Engineer, you'll work across a cluster of schools in Northamptonshire and Bedfordshire, supported by our experienced remote team. You’ll play a key role in keeping our schools running efficiently, blending hands-on support with modern, cloud-based tools.
🛠️ You’ll be responsible for:
- Scheduled on-site visits to provide friendly, expert IT support
- Installing, configuring, and maintaining a variety of hardware and software
- Troubleshooting issues with devices, networks, servers, and cloud services
- Supporting staff and systems across Windows, Office 365, Azure, and more
- Helping evolve our server-less and hybrid infrastructure
✅ What We’re Looking For
Essentials:
- At least 2 years’ experience in 1st and 2nd line IT support (customer-facing)
- Strong skills in:
- Windows 10+
- Windows Server 2019+
- Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, GPOs
- Troubleshooting networks and devices
- Clean, full UK driving licence (required for multi-site visits)
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
Bonus Skills (Desirable, not essential):
- Apple device support
- AWS/cloud exposure
- Ubiquiti networking
- VOIP systems
- Paxton Door Access / IP CCTV
