What skills and experience we're looking for
About Us
Amplify Education is a dynamic new multi-academy trust of 21 schools across Bristol, South Gloucestershire and North Somerset, formed through the thoughtful and planned merger of TiLA and CST. United by a shared vision, we are a bold voice for Bristol - committed to building belief in every young person, expanding opportunities, nurturing potential, and strengthening citizenship.
We are ambitious, reflective, and collaborative - driven to improve outcomes for young people while working together, learning from one another and continually strengthening our practice. If you are looking to make a real difference within a forward-thinking and supportive Trust, Amplify Education could be the place for you.
We invite you to join our IT Team. Working closely with Central Services teams and school leaders, the IT Team supports the management of technology infrastructure, devices, software and cybersecurity, helping to ensure colleagues and pupils have access to the tools they need to succeed.
The Opportunity
We are looking for an IT Technician to join our IT Team from 1 December 2026, or as soon as possible thereafter. If you join us, a typical week in this role will see you providing remote and face to face technical support to allow the effective use of IT by both staff and students. You will also provide advice and training to improve both their understanding of IT and their experience of its use, diagnosing and troubleshooting problems as required. This means that you will need to be able to build positive relationships to clearly communicate technical issues to non-specialists and be able to guide staff and students through steps needed to resolve issues.
About You
You are likely to have gained the ability to communicate technical issues to non-specialists, a solid understanding of computer technology and experience in a customer facing / first line support role. You will bring initiative and the ability to diagnose / troubleshoot problems in a logical and focused manner.

Trust in Learning is an education charity formed in 2008 and is an Academy Sponsor based in Bristol whose principal purpose is to create inclusive education communities that provide excellent education and excellent outcomes for children and young people.
There continues to be a degree of misunderstanding about academies and academy trusts. We are a charity whose civic responsibility is to help improve the education of children. We support schools across educational sectors from nursery and primary to secondary and special schools.
In particular Trust in Learning is committed to helping to overcome the inequalities between our communities so that every one of our children can learn well and can prosper.

As a Trust we are supported by the University of the West of England together with the City of Bristol College. These two institutions make up the membership of the Trust and they share a common ethos to seek to provide inspiring educational experiences that will equip our children with the necessary skills, knowledge and understanding that will provide all of them with the opportunity to go onto university or choose to pursue a career of their choice.
