What skills and experience we're looking for

To be able to effectively use a variety of teaching and organisational styles and resources including ICT

Ability to deal sensitively with people and resolve conflicts

Ability to use a range of behaviour strategies that promote a positive learning environment that reflects mutual trust and understanding

To have a clear understanding of expected pupil progress

Ability to assess where children are and use this to inform the next steps in their learning, supported by data analysis

Ability to teach pupils on ASD/complex needs and/or behavioural needs

Oak Grange Nursery and Primary School is a new school in the Boulton Moor/Chellaston area of Derby City. The school opened to nursery and reception children in September 2023 and in September 2026, we will have children from Nursery to Year 3.

We are looking for a maternity cover teacher to join our Key Stage 1 team and be part of creating a school where children will be encouraged to be curious, where adults and children alike will create an ethos built on respect and kindness. Do you align with the school vision of “grow”?
