Key Stage 1 teacher job summary

Due to internal school class re-organisation, an exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced outstanding teacher to join St Peter’s Primary School. We are looking to appoint an outstanding, experienced, dynamic, caring and enthusiastic class teacher. This role is being offered as a fixed term, full-time position. The successful candidate will be working across KS1 in a mixed aged class to ensure continuity of learning. We are looking for an individual who has experience in Key Stage 1 and mixed aged classes. You will be able to work as part of the Reception/Key Stage 1 team and be flexible in your approach. You will have the opportunity to be part of an exciting time in the quality of education, curriculum and professional development of the school. The school is working within a secure partnership with another local Outstanding school which is supporting the improved developments and outcomes for pupils and staff. In our most recent Ofsted report we were deemed to be Good. This is an opportunity to join a thriving, forward-looking and supportive staff team at a school whose Christian values underpin the drive to help children achieve a high degree of individual success. We are looking for a suitable candidate who: • Has experience in EYFS/Key Stage 1, with a commitment to delivering high-quality educational experiences for all pupils • Has proven to be a reflective practitioner who consistently seeks to improve their understanding to support learning and accelerate pupil progress • Has experience of mixed aged/key stage classes • Has high expectations of children both academically and socially • Can share proven experience and expertise of the current learning strategies for children’s age • Works closely with colleagues as a team member • Shares the school’s caring ethos and vision • Has enthusiasm, dedication, an excellent rapport with both children and staff and a sense of humour • Has a calm and consistent approach to working with children • Possesses good communication skills with colleagues, children and parents If you feel you would thrive in this position, then we would love to hear from you. St Peter’s Primary is a vibrant single form entry school set in a fantastic location with superb school grounds, on the outskirts of Bristol and near the interchange of the M4 and M5.

In our most recent Ofsted report we were deemed to be Good. We are a successful and happy school, with an established team of dedicated staff. The staff are continually developing their practice to ensure the children gain an excellent education. We have well motivated children who enjoy learning and are eager to participate in everything the school and community offers.
