Key Stage 2 and 3 Teachers of Year 7 Expeditionary Learning job summary
The GPUTC is looking to build a team of staff who will deliver Expeditionary Learning to our brand-new Year 7 cohort who start with us in September 2021.
This means a unique opportunity awaits either a Teacher of KS2 or a Secondary Teacher who has an interest in delivering Expeditionary Learning.
This is an amazing opportunity to be part of a team of staff who will be helping create, design and deliver the only Expeditionary Learning experience in our area.
Expeditionary Learning is an innovative and exciting programme of studies, where students engage in a learning journey across all subjects completing in-depth research of compelling authentic topics.
With this in mind, we are not looking for a particular subject specialism as the team will teach across all subjects.
Expeditionary Learning develops students' knowledge and skills, using the National Curriculum at Key Stage 3 to guide the standards which must be covered, as well as focusing on the development of vital character skills that are so important in today's modern working world.
These roles will include 20 hrs of Yr7 teaching a week and 5 hrs of protected PPA time.
The GPUTC is Peterborough’s only STEM focused specialist school catering for learners aged 11-19. We are the school of choice for the engineers, architects, scientists and designers of the future in the Peterborough and the surrounding area.
