Key Stage 2 Teacher (Maternity Cover) job summary
Required for the Spring term 2020, a part-time teacher to cover a maternity vacancy. The successful candidate will be able to deliver teaching and learning in whole class and group situations. This will involve the full range of National Curriculum areas, with an expectation of leading both core and foundation subjects. This includes planning for pupils requiring detailed and specialist knowledge in particular areas, and those who need specific help to overcome barriers to learning. This will involve planning, preparing, and delivering learning activities for individuals / groups and whole classes. As well as monitoring pupils, assessing, recording, and reporting on achievements, progress, and development. there will be an expectation that the person appointed will have knowledge and understanding of Special Educational Needs. Candidates would ideally have additional SEN qualifications or experience of working with children with SEMH, although this is not essential.
