What skills and experience we're looking for

Our ideal candidate:

  • Holds a good honours degree along with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Has sound knowledge of the National Curriculum
  • Is committed to personal development
  • Brings excellent knowledge of the subject, curriculum requirements and exam specifications
  • Possesses strong organisational skills, a proactive approach to lesson planning and effective classroom management skills
  • Has a sound understanding and commitment to the religious ethos of the school
  • Is committed to raising achievement for all pupils
  • Has the ability to be an excellent practitioner with successful experience as a class teacher, impacting on standards and behaviour
  • Has belief in the importance of effective teamwork and a collaborative approach and is able to build supportive working relationships within our community

Experience of leading Reading in a primary school is desirable.
