Kitchen Assistant job summary

We're looking for a motivated and passionate Kitchen Assistant to serve prepared meals to our pupils and staff. You will be joining a friendly team in a growing school where there will be opportunity for progression in the future.

In this role, you will manage the lunch service, ensuring high standards for our pupils and staff, to create a welcoming and efficient dining environment. The ideal candidate will be hard working, friendly, flexible and have a positive attitude.

This is a fixed term role, working 10 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Actual salary £5,953-£6,241 per annum. 

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Serving lunches for all pupils and staff

• Maintaining a high standard of cleanliness of the kitchen and dining hall

• Ensuring the correct use of all machinery and equipment

• Assisting with the loading or unloading of deliveries and supply vehicles

• Complying with Food Handling & Hygiene standards

• Complying with Health & Safety regulations.
