Kitchen Assistant Employer: St Thomas Aquinas Catholic Multi Academy Trust Location: St Paul’s Catholic School, Evington, Leicester Grade: Band 1 Point 1-3 Salary: £6,231 to £6,420 Actual Salary (£18,333 to £18,887 per annum full time equivalent) Contract Type: Part time 15 Hours (Monday to Friday to 11.45 to 14.45pm) Contract Term: Permanent Closing Date: 22 August 2022, at 4pm Interview Date: To Be confired St Paul’s is seeking to appoint a Kitchen Assistant from August 2022. The successful candidate will enjoy the support and collaboration of a very supportive well established team. St Paul’s is a thriving and successful 11-18 Catholic School, with 1140 students from a variety of backgrounds and faiths. It was judged good at its last inspection with Sixth form being outstanding. St Paul’s is ambitious for its students and staff and the school has continued to improve in all areas since the 2018 inspection. Ofsted described the school as “inclusive and caring” and students as “polite, caring and helpful.” Key responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to: Preparation of a variety of meals to include both hot and cold options, taking into account any special dietary and/or cultural requirements. Serving a range of meals and beverages to stakeholders in an efficient and polite manner. Maintain a clean and safe working environment at all times in line with food hygiene requirements, statutory law and adhere to the school/Trust policies and safe systems of work. Cleaning of all associated areas within the catering provision as requested. Washing, drying and safe storage of catering utensils and equipment. Safe storage of goods delivered to the catering department. Attend training sessions as requested during term times. Report all accidents, equipment failures, food safety, Health and Safety hazards or concerns to your line manager promptly. Undertake cashier and cash handling duties as required.
