Kitchen Assistant job summary
As a Kitchen Assistant at Trinity C of E Primary Academy, part of St Chad’s Academies Trust, you will play a vital role in supporting the day-to-day running of the academy kitchen and ensuring pupils receive nutritious, well-prepared meals in a safe and welcoming environment.
Working closely with the Catering Manager and kitchen team, you will assist with food preparation, serving meals, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene, and ensuring all food safety procedures are followed. Your contribution will help create a positive lunchtime experience where pupils feel cared for and supported.
You will contribute to a calm, respectful and purposeful dining environment built on trust and harmony, where pupils feel safe, valued and confident. Through your friendly manner and positive interactions, you will support pupils’ independence and enjoyment of mealtimes, while being attentive to dietary requirements and individual needs, including SEND.
