What skills and experience we're looking for
We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Porter to join our team at Daubeney Primary School.
We have high expectations and offer a warm and supportive environment to our staff. We believe that staff are our most valuable resource and look after them well.
We wish to appoint a Kitchen Porter who will:
- Provide support in the preparation, cooking and serving of food and beverages
- Prepare service areas and equipment in the service area for the efficient and effective delivery of meals and catering services.
- Cleaning of all catering areas and both light and heavy kitchen equipment to the required standards
You will have:
A Level 2 Certificate of Food Hygiene
Experience of catering
Knowledge of basic food preparations such as sandwiches, salads, etc.
- Knowledge of Natasha’s law
- Knowledge of allergy legislation
The ability to read and complete simple instructions, such as cleaning rota, work rota, temperature control.
