Ab Kettleby School is a rural village primary school which is located in Ab Kettleby, Melton Mowbray. Our school is committed to offering our pupils the best possible education. We are a village based school that has strong links with the wider community and we pride ourselves in being able to offer excellent education along with extra-curricular activities. Our school is also working in partnership with Somerby School a small village school within the wider Mowbray Education Trust community. We are a dedicated team of professionals who continually strive to improve the children’s education whilst giving them strong support and encouragement through their primary education journey. We wish to appoint an enthusiastic and highly motivated KS2 classroom teacher who is passionate about teaching and learning to work at Ab Kettleby Primary School. You will be required to have a detailed knowledge of the Primary curriculum and have a solid understanding of how children learn to their full potential. You will have a working knowledge of target setting and assessment for learning procedures to inform future planning, teaching and learning to achieve high standards. We are looking for an experienced teacher and therefore this post is not suitable for an NQT. About the Mowbray Education Trust The Mowbray Education Trust (MET) is a multi-academy trust currently educating around 2,500 children from the age of 2 to 16 in the town of Melton Mowbray and surrounding villages in the Borough of Melton. The MET currently has one secondary school, five primary schools and one pre-school; with potential numerical and geographical growth in the future. Melton Mowbray is a rural market town in Leicestershire which is easily commutable from Grantham, Leicester, Loughborough, Nottingham and Oakham. The MET has a central support services team, with staff managing Estates, Finance, HR, IT and Operations, across our schools. The central team are based at offices within John Ferneley College in Melton Mowbray. Further information We are seeking to appoint a permanent, full time teacher to start in the Autumn Term (25th October 2021) or the start of Spring Term (4th January 2022). The salary will be dependent on experience but will follow the Main pay scale for teachers.
