Welcome to Fairburn Community Primary School’s website. My name is Emma Cornhill and I have been the Head Teacher here since 2007.
I am fortunate that I love the job I do and I am supported by an extremely dedicated staff team and Governing Body who are equally as passionate as me to continually strive to further improve our school. I believe passionately in the role of village schools within the local community so we take all opportunities for the children to be involved as much as possible in events such as Harvest Festival in the Church, singing to the third generation and Remembrance Services. I also want the children to learn about how to care for their village and to both understand its heritage and why a sense of community is so important.
The vision which completely underpins our school is the sole aim that we want all children to receive the highest standard of education possible but that they will enjoy our school and feel happy here in a caring, safe environment.
