Sprowston Infant School wish to appoint an enthusiastic and inspirational teacher to join our dedicated staff team.
As a staff team we have high standards and expectations for all our pupils. Our curriculum follows Early Excellence Continuous Provision starting in Nursery, moving through to a challenge-based curriculum in Key Stage One. Learning spaces are well resourced and staff supported for continual development. In addition to the mainstream school, we have three SRB classes for ASC pupils from across Norfolk.
We are looking for an excellent practitioner with high expectations of all children to work in KS1. The successful candidate would be someone who is flexible and willing to contribute to all aspects of school life and the wider community.
Essential Skills/Experience
- Experience of teaching children in the infant age range
- A passion for learning and promoting independence
- The ability to recognise and treat every child as an individual
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to match their communication to the needs of their pupils
- Ability to direct as well as work collaboratively with teaching assistants
- Ability to plan engaging, relevant and challenging learning opportunities
- To maintain accurate records of pupil’s progress and achievement
- Be flexible and adapt positively to change
- Show initiative and work independently
- Experience with working in close partnership with parents
Desirable Skills
- Full driving license
- Experience of planning in the moment and/or continuous provision in EYFS/ KS1
- Alternate designated safeguarding lead
- Experience of working with children with additional needs
- Paediatric first aid trained
