What skills and experience we're looking for

At St. Anne’s, we place emotional intelligence at the heart of everything we do. We believe it is the foundation for successful learning. When children can understand and manage their emotions, ask for help with confidence, and persevere through challenges, they flourish—not only personally, but academically in reading, writing, maths and beyond.

We are committed to ensuring that every child—especially those with additional needs—develops both the emotional skills and strong academic foundations they need to succeed in any environment they encounter.

We are now seeking an enthusiastic, dedicated, and inspiring KS1 Class Teacher who shares this vision and is passionate about delivering high-quality teaching and making a real difference in children’s lives.

About the Role

You will bring strong, up-to-date knowledge and experience of the KS1 curriculum, with the ability to plan, deliver, and assess engaging lessons that meet the needs of all learners. You will play a key role in fostering a positive, inclusive classroom environment where every child can thrive.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Is motivated to continually develop their own professional practice
  • Works collaboratively and contributes positively to a strong team ethos
  • Demonstrates a clear ability to meet the needs of all pupils, scaffolding learning to ensure excellent progress
  • Uses assessment effectively to challenge and extend learning for every child
  • Is passionate about overcoming barriers and improving outcomes for disadvantaged pupils
  • Inspires, motivates and nurtures children in all aspects of their development
  • Embodies and promotes our school’s values and ethos
  • Engages fully in the wider life of the school

What the school offers its staff

What we can offer you:

  • Wonderful children who are enthusiastic and eager to learn
  • The opportunity to work in an inclusive school that understands the relationships are pivotal to positive behaviour outcomes
  • Protected time to plan our well-established curriculum with your year group partner
  • A friendly, supportive and committed staff team who value collaboration
  • Supportive leadership and governors who invest in staff development
  • Access to high-quality professional development opportunities
  • Free wellbeing support to help you maintain a healthy work-life balance
