What skills and experience we're looking for

The successful candidate will:

  • Have knowledge and experience of teaching within EYFS and Key Stage 1, and knowledge of the full primary curriculum
  • Be a team player who is resilient and is committed to using their skills and expertise to ensure that all children’s needs in their class are met
  • Understand the importance of building good relationships with all members of our school community
  • Be someone who can inspire, innovate and work effectively with others to problem solve
  • Be enthusiastic, hardworking, resourceful and keen to ensure that the highest standards of pupil achievement, personal development, behaviour and well-being are attained
  • Have excellent interpersonal skills and will work with parents and carers to achieve the best outcomes for their children
  • Have a good understanding of children’s developmental needs, including those children with additional needs, and has a commitment to providing an inclusive education for all children
  • Have a desire to develop further within their career and influence school development and subject leadership
  • Be, or have aspirations to be, an outstanding practitioner

Interviews will be held over two days. Wednesday 30th April (day 1) and Thursday 1st May 2025 for candidates successful at day 1.

Candidates are invited and warmly encouraged to make a visit to the school. Visits can be made on Tuesday 1st April at 3.30pm or Wednesday 23rd April at 9.30am. Please contact the school office to arrange this.

St Margaret’s C of E Primary School is a successful, inclusive two form entry primary school with innovative and creative approaches to learning.
