What skills and experience we're looking for
We are now accepting applications for the position as a ‘classroom teacher’ to work at Beaconsfield Primary within either a KS1 or KS2 class from September 2024. Beaconsfield Primary School is a 2FE over-subscribed, welcoming school with ‘outstanding pupil behaviour’ where pupils consistently exceed national averages in both attainment and progress. We offer a very supportive environment for staff and pupils. The school has increased and maintained pupil numbers over past years as we expanded to a fully 2FE school with an attached 28 place SEND ARP Unit (Additional Resource Provision)
We provide extensive training opportunities for ECTs, RQTs and all staff. Classes follow a well-planned curricular syllabus with teachers encouraged to develop exciting and stimulating learning projects as part of units of study. We have a large library, a food technology room, specialist music and PE provision along with sensory & soft-play rooms for use by pupils. Our most recent Ofsted report (April 2023) highlights that ‘Teachers benefit from the commitment of leaders to prioritise their training and development with staff studying nationally accredited qualifications, as well as regular ongoing training’.
Do you have:
* The ability to demonstrate very good/ outstanding classroom practice
* Experience of both KS1 & KS2 classes (this may be through block teaching practice for ECT/ NQTs)
* High expectations for children’s learning, behavior and a commitment to all pupils achieving success
* A firm belief in inclusive and equalities education for all pupils
* Energy, enthusiasm and a positive approach to developing a stimulating & creative curriculum and classroom
