The school

Dobcroft Nursery Infant School is a friendly, welcoming, and creative school with an inclusive ethos. We have a 26 place pre-school and three form entry (90 children in each year) foundation stage two and KS1. The school is in south west Sheffield, in the Millhouses region. We are proud of our children who are enthusiastic, kind and happy.

The role – KS1 Lead

Dobcroft Nursery Infants have an exciting opportunity for a talented and caring candidate to join our team as a KS1 Lead. Our aim is “To provide a foundation for fulfilled lives, inspiring confident and happy learners”. We do this through having high aspirations and expectations for the children in our care and they are at the heart of everything we do.

What the school offers its staff

We are a trauma informed school and are therefore seeking someone with a genuine passion for developing positive relationships and a commitment to providing a relational approach to supporting children, particularly those with special needs. If you enjoy leading a collaborative team and have a passion for teaching, we’d love to hear from you!

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has experience of leading a team or is looking for leadership as the next step in their career progression (training will be provided).
  • Is enthusiastic about working with young children and has a positive attitude.
  • Has experience of working with KS1 and/or EYFS children.
  • Be an enthusiastic and engaging teacher who inspires young learners.
  • Has a commitment to inclusivity.
  • Is committed to providing high quality and enjoyable learning opportunities for pupils.
  • Is an effective and reflective practitioner with a desire to learn and develop.
  • Works well as part of a team and have good interpersonal skills with colleagues, children and parents.
