Classteacher Person Specification
The school is seeking to appoint a person with the following attributes:
Qualification/Training/Experience
- Qualified Teacher Status
- Relevant training or experience in teaching children in KS1
- Proven history of providing effective, innovative teaching and learning
- Experience of effective subject leadership would be an advantage
Professional Knowledge and Skills
- A secure knowledge and understanding of the National Curriculum and assessment expectations
- The ability to plan and lead an area of the curriculum effectively
- High expectations of pupils’ work and behaviour
- Good classroom organisation and time management
- The ability to establish constructive working relationships with pupils, staff and parents
- The ability to work as part of a team in curriculum planning and evaluation
- A clear working knowledge of assessment for learning
- Good IT skills and the ability to apply these to support teaching and learning
