KS2 Class Teacher (Maternity Cover) job summary

Opportunities to join our wonderful teaching team at Priors Field don't come along very often, so we're really excited to be looking for an enthusiastic, talented and caring teacher to join us in Key Stage 2 for a period of maternity cover.

Priors Field is a thriving, happy and family-centred primary school in the heart of Kenilworth. We are incredibly proud of our school, our children and the warm, welcoming community we have created together. Our vision, Growing together, Ready for life, is at the heart of everything we do. We believe that every child deserves to feel happy, safe, included and valued, and that the very best learning happens when children feel a genuine sense of belonging. We have high aspirations for our children, both academically and personally, but we also believe that primary school should be full of fun, friendship, creativity and memorable experiences. With our beautiful grounds, fantastic outdoor learning opportunities and a team who genuinely care about making a difference, Priors Field is a very special place to work.

Who are we looking for?

Above all, we're looking for a great teacher who shares our values and will embrace everything that makes Priors Field special. Someone who understands that great teaching starts with great relationships, who can inspire a love of learning and who will bring warmth, enthusiasm and high expectations to their classroom.

We would love to hear from you if you:

  • Are a passionate, creative and reflective teacher who makes learning exciting, purposeful and engaging.
  • Have high expectations for every child and the skills to help them achieve their very best.
  • Understand that inclusion is everyone's responsibility and are committed to adapting teaching to meet the needs of all learners.
  • Build positive, nurturing relationships with children, families and colleagues.
  • Create a calm, happy and purposeful classroom where children feel safe, confident and ready to learn.
  • Bring energy, positivity, flexibility and a good sense of humour to school life.
  • Enjoy working collaboratively, sharing ideas and being part of a team that supports and learns from one another.
  • Are keen to contribute to the wider life of our school and make the most of the wonderful opportunities we can offer our children.

What can we offer you?

We think Priors Field is a pretty special place to work, and we hope you will too. In return, we can offer:

  • Wonderful children who are enthusiastic, curious and full of personality.
  • A genuinely welcoming, caring and supportive school community where everyone is known and valued.
  • A fantastic team of dedicated colleagues who work hard, support one another and enjoy what they do.
  • A strong commitment to inclusion, positive relationships and ensuring every child can thrive.
  • Beautiful school grounds and inspiring indoor and outdoor learning environments.
  • Opportunities to develop professionally, share your strengths and contribute your ideas.
  • A leadership team and governing body who value staff wellbeing, professional trust and working together to make our school the very best it can be.

Most importantly, you'll be joining a school where relationships matter, where everyone's contribution is valued and where we are always looking for ways to grow and improve together.

Come and see us!

We know that choosing the right school is a big decision, and we would really encourage you to come and experience Priors Field for yourself. Meet our children, have a look around and get a feel for the people and the ethos that make us who we are.

Whether you're an experienced teacher looking for a new opportunity or someone earlier in your teaching career, if our school sounds like the sort of place where you would feel happy and inspired, we would love to hear from you.
