Our school is a thriving Infant and Nursery School situated in Catterick Garrison. 96% of our children come from ‘Service Families’.
I would like to extend a very warm welcome to all the children, their Parents and Carers, families and members of the Catterick Community who are central to the life of our school.
Our school motto is ‘learning and growing together’ which is what underpins all we do at Wavell Community Infant and Nursery School. Relationships and attitudes are very positive and a nurturing ethos exists driven by a curriculum that centres on these principles:
A healthy, happy ME
Learning for life
My place in the world
Talk to me, listen to me
We want children to enjoy school and to make the best use of their time here. We remain aware that, for most of our children, their time here may be limited due to mobility. We need to be sympathetic to this but also want to ensure that their time with us is memorable and that they leave here having fulfilled their true potential and with happy memories.
I feel truly privileged to be the Headteacher of a school with such hard working, dedicated staff and amazing children and families.
If you live in the area, please come and visit us. If you are moving to the Catterick area in the future please contact us and have a chat, we will be very happy to answer any questions and help to support your child’s transition to a new school. We are proud of our school and love to share our achievements as our website demonstrates. Please take a look around.
I look forward to seeing you in school!
Gillian Crouch (Executive Headteacher)
