KS2 Class Teacher job summary

We are in the exciting position of looking for a new KS2 teacher to join our school this coming September. First and foremost, we are a happy school and an exciting place to work. We are fully committed to growing the next generation of teachers and to developing the practice of experienced staff and have supported many teachers at the start of their career, as well as teachers who have wanted to make a sideways move to try something new.

As a founding member of the OWN Trust, we can offer the successful candidate the opportunity to grow alongside colleagues from two other good schools. The schools in the Trust work closely together and we benefit from sharing ideas and best practice.

The candidate will be required to undergo a full enhanced DBS check and must be eligible to work in the UK.

Orton Wistow Primary School is larger than most primary schools. We have 2 classes of 30 children in each year group, giving us a total of 420 children.

Since the school was built in 1988 to accommodate 200 pupils, we have had 2 ambitious building projects to accommodate the increase in our numbers. As a result of these changes we now have a stunning schools with wonderful indoor and outdoor facilities.

Orton Wistow is a popular, over subscribed school and benefits from a consistent roll despite the fact that we have a relatively small catchment area.
