What skills and experience we're looking for

● QTS

  • Successful clearance via an advanced Criminal Records Bureau disclosure

● Effective planning skills

  • Outstanding teaching skills which are engaging and motivating
  • Ability to assess and monitor children’s progress
  • Excellent class and behaviour management
  • Ability to meet the social and emotional needs of children.
  • A clear understanding of how children learn and what effective teaching looks like.

  • Ability to manage and develop support staff.

• Knowledge of the cognitive science that underpins effective teaching.

  • Effective use of assessment for learning
  • Good subject and curriculum knowledge
  • Ability to offer expertise in specific areas of the curriculum • Inclusive approach

● Experience of working in either KS1 or KS2

• Excellent relationships with children based on an understanding of them individually.

• Evaluative and reflective practitioner

  • Positive attitude to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
  • Very good communication skills with parents and carers
  • Commitment to professional development.

● Effective team player and excellent interpersonal skills
