At Meadstead Primary Academy we have a special and unique learning community that is proud to serve the village of Royston, and surrounding areas. Our staff commute not just from Barnsley, but from Wakefield, Doncaster, Sheffield and beyond.
The children benefit from the academy having a shared ethos of remarkable teaching and learning, a keen focus on curriculum development, instructional coaching and ensuring all learners experience a wide range of opportunities across the curriculum. We are also proud of our Specialised Resourced Provision that is fully inclusive within the Academy through a personalised approach.
We are looking for a subject leader/ who is an expert teacher and able to lead on a key area of school improvement. We want highly motivated and determined teachers and leaders who will make a real difference creating opportunities to instil the skills children need to go on to lead a remarkable life. Visits to the academy would be welcomed.
Skills and experience we would like to see:
* Year 6 teaching experience would be advantageous
* Previous subject leadership experience (ideally maths/ English)
* Experience of teaching in a Primary School
* Experience of coaching and developing staff would be advantageous
