Your Role in Building Brighter Futures
As a Phase 2 Teacher at Wansdyke Primary School, you will play a key role in contributing to the delivery of Futura’s mission statement of “Building the brightest future for all, enabling every individual to flourish”. We are looking for an individual who is passionate about living our values and making a positive impact on all the young people in our Trust.
Wansdyke Primary School is a Futura Learning Partnership School. We are a partnership of schools in the West of England region committed to offering a high-quality educational experience to all children and young people in our care.
As a Phase 2 Teacher you will be responsible for:
- Planning, preparing, and delivering lessons and courses.
- Setting, marking, and assessing student work both in and outside school.
- Monitoring and reporting on students' progress, development, and attainment.
- Promoting the well-being and progress of individual students and groups.
- Offering guidance on educational, social matters, and future careers.
- Keeping records of students' personal, social needs and communicating with parents.
- Collaborating with external parties and participating in meetings related to students' education.
- Contributing to assessments, reports, and references on students.
- Participating in performance appraisals and teacher development.
- Reviewing teaching methods and participating in professional training and development.
- Advising on curriculum development, teaching materials, and methods.
- Maintaining order, discipline, and safeguarding students' health and safety.
- Attending school meetings related to curriculum and administration.
- Supervising and teaching students in the absence of their regular teacher, within limits.
- Assisting with external exam preparation, assessment, and conducting exams.
- Contributing to the selection, induction, and development of staff.
- Helping in the management and assessment of staff performance.
- Coordinating or managing other staff and contributing to school reviews and development.
- Participating in administrative tasks, including student attendance and supervision.
- Not routinely engaging in clerical tasks not requiring professional judgement.
