About the Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated KS2 Class Teacher to join our team at Byron Wood Primary School. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of our pupils during a maternity cover period. You will work closely with colleagues to deliver high-quality teaching and learning that inspires and challenges every child.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons that meet the needs of all learners in KS2.
  • Assess, monitor, and report on pupil progress in line with school policies.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes learning and well-being.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and carers to support pupil development.
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school, including enrichment activities and events.
What We’re Looking For
  • A qualified teacher with QTS and experience teaching KS2.
  • Strong knowledge of the national curriculum and effective teaching strategies.
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  • A positive, flexible, and collaborative approach to working within a team.
