KS2 teacher job summary

What skills and experience we are looking for

We are looking for a passionate and experienced Key Stage 2 teacher who is committed to making a real difference in children’s lives. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives on building strong relationships and creating a positive, nurturing classroom where every child feels valued and supported.

You will have a strong track record of promoting positive behaviour through supportive approaches and of building trusting relationships with both pupils and parents. You’ll be confident in setting high expectations and creating a calm, purposeful classroom where children feel safe, valued, and motivated to learn.

Inclusion sits at the heart of what we do, so we are looking for someone who shares this commitment. You will have experience supporting all pupils to succeed, particularly those from disadvantaged backgrounds and those with additional needs. You’ll be skilled at adapting your teaching so that every child can thrive.

We are especially keen to find someone who believes in raising aspirations—someone who can inspire children to believe in themselves, aim high, and see the possibilities for their future.

You will be a strong team player, able to work closely with colleagues, parents, and the wider school community to provide the very best support for every child.

This role is not suitable for an Early Career Teacher (ECT), and applicants should have relevant experience teaching in Key Stage 2.

A supportive staff team who genuinely enjoy their roles and are passionate about where they work. Our staff say ‘there is a family feel’ (Ofsted May 2023).

Engaged and excited children who are eager to learn and explore. ‘Pupils feel proud to attend. They enjoy school and talk enthusiastically about their learning’ (Ofsted May 2023).

A supportive Senior Leadership Team (SLT) committed to your professional development.

The opportunity to embed your own creative ideas into the curriculum.

The best way to get a true feel for our school is to come and see it for yourself. Visits are welcomed and encouraged.

If you are ready to make a difference, we would love to hear from you!
