What skills and experience we're looking for

As a Class Teacher, you will:

  • Deliver ambitious, engaging and inclusive teaching that enables all pupils to make strong progress.
  • Create a positive climate for learning built upon clear routines, high expectations and respectful relationships.
  • Use assessment effectively to identify gaps, adapt teaching and respond precisely to pupils’ needs.
  • Provide appropriate support and challenge for all learners, including pupils with SEND and those facing disadvantage.
  • Contribute to curriculum development and the wider life of the school.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, carers and external professionals.
  • Support and promote the school’s Christian vision, values and inclusive ethos.
  • Fulfil the professional responsibilities set out in the Teachers’ Standards.

St. Edmund’s C of E Primary and Nursery School is situated in Mansfield Woodhouse and serves the immediate area. We are a one-form entry primary and nursery school comprising of 8 classes, from FS1 to Year 6, catering for around 220 children, with supportive parents and a passionate and nurturing staff team.
