Warmingham is a Church of England Voluntary Aided primary school, which was founded
in 1839. The school’s Christian foundation permeates through the school ethos and values,
being further enhanced and promoted across the whole school’s curriculum, particularly
through Collective Worship, Religious Education and Personal, Social and Health
Education.
The school is closely associated with the Parish Church, St. Leonards, and links with the
Diocese of Chester. St Leonard’s Church actively supports the Christian foundation of our
school. Rev. Philip Goggin leads regular Collective Worship at the school and also plays
an active and vital role in the schools development as a member of our Governing
board.
We are thrilled to have such a close working relationship with St. Leonards as this allows us
to bring our local community even closer together in praise and worship. The children
have the honour of leading and hosting many services throughout the year at the church,
these including Harvest, Christmas, Easter and Leavers Services.
The daily life of the school promotes a Christian ethos, which encourages personal
responsibility and the ability to relate to others with care, thought and consideration.
Particular emphasis is placed on respect, reverence and reflection.
We were delighted to receive our individual Academy order in November 2016 and were
thrilled to finally become a member of the Multi Academy Trust (MAT) named the Rural
Church Schools Academy Trust (RCSAT). This collaboration of schools will ensure long term
security and longevity for our schools so that we can continue to provide a superb service
to the local children and their communities.
