Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality teaching to a mixed-age Year 3 and 4 class, inspiring a keen love of learning.
  • Lead the school’s SENCO duties, including coordinating support plans, liaising with parents and external agencies, and monitoring pupil progress.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop inclusive strategies and interventions.
  • Contribute actively to the school’s Christian ethos and community spirit.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development to enhance teaching and leadership skills.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Experience teaching KS2 pupils, ideally in mixed-age classes.
  • Excellent knowledge of the KS2 curriculum and effective pedagogy
  • Proven ability or willingness to take on SENCO responsibilities.
  • Strong understanding of Special Educational Needs legislation and best practises.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

St. Bartholomew's Church, this 0.5FE school, including a nursery for 3 and 4-year-olds, offers a

The Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and passionate EYFS class teacher to join our dedicated team
from September 2025, this role would be suitable for teachers in the early stages of their career.
As the teacher for a mixed nursery and reception class, you will be responsible for delivering an
engaging and effective curriculum that inspires our youngest learners to reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
• Plan and deliver high-quality lessons that cater to the diverse needs of your mixed-age
class
• Utilise your expertise in the EYFS curriculum and effective pedagogy, particularly in
teaching through continuous provision
• Maintain excellent classroom and behaviour management to create a safe, stimulating,
and inclusive learning environment
• Bring learning to life through your creativity and talent for making the curriculum exciting
and engaging
• Collaborate effectively with the wider school team to contribute to the school's
continuous improvement
Requirements:
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
• Proven experience in EYFS teaching, ideally with mixed-age groups
• Excellent subject knowledge and understanding of the EYFS curriculum
• Outstanding teaching and classroom management skills
• Ability to inspire and motivate pupils to achieve their best

• A positive, enthusiastic, and flexible approach to teaching and learning
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build effective relationships with
pupils, parents, and colleagues
• A commitment to professional development and a desire to continuously improve your
