KS2 Year 5 teaching assistant required for one year initially for a maternity cover.
Toftwood Infant and Junior School Federation are looking for a teaching assistant as soon as possible due to an early maternity leave.
We are looking for a highly qualified, skilled and motivated teaching assistant who enjoys working as part of a team to join our team to ensure the best possible care and education for our children.
The successful candidate must:
- Have experience of supporting children to become successful and independent learners in a school environment and have a good understanding of how children learn
- Have had recent experience working within a school
- Be a passionate practitioner, who is dedicated to ensuring all children are engaged in their learning, make progress and achieve well
- A commitment to all children, regardless of need or ability
- The ability to support children with a range of SEN and medical needs as required
- Be inspirational in their work, with excellent communication skills, excellent relationships with children and the ability to engage and support all learners
- Have excellent organisational skills, in the classroom and with their own work, including being able to work to deadlines effectively
- Be able to work as part of a team
- Be able to use progress information to support the teacher to move children forwards with their learning
- An understanding of the KS2 curriculum

You would be employed under a federation contract, meaning you will work in the infant or junior schools as required.
