Your day may include supporting individual and small groups of pupils with their learning, running learning interventions, helping the teaching team to prepare resources for future lessons or listening to those who may need help to talk through their emotions. The role may include a range of 1:1, small group and whole-class teaching assistant support.

We have three simple rules in our school, ‘Safe, Ready, Respectful’. They are at the core of everything we do. We expect it from our staff and pupils and help us to provide a happy, safe and stimulating environment for all.

You may be a current teaching assistant wanting to experience a large-school setting, a recent graduate looking to develop a career in education or someone with experience of working with children, looking to work in schools. We have over 600 pupils and 90 staff who work collaboratively to support our pupils in achieving their full potential.

A current teaching assistant who joined us recently said:

“Since being welcomed into the QH family, I have been supported and inspired by

the teaching staff. I have benefited from regular training specifically for support staff.

I value working with a dedicated team, who are passionate about bringing the

curriculum to life.”
