Do you have the skills to communicate and support young people with challenging behaviour? Your interaction with these students could make a difference to their chances in education and life! Grafham Grange School has vacancies for January 2022 We are looking for talented teachers who are able to teach any of the following: KS4 Maths KS4 Business KS3 Science KS3 Maths We have 2 teaching posts available and will use your strengths to create your timetable You will have outstanding interpersonal and behaviour management skills, have high expectations, and be fully committed to supporting opportunities for disadvantaged students with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs). You will be working with an amazing staff body who are fully supportive and give their everything to the students. Class sizes are limited to a maximum of 8 students. Your planning will take into account the diversity of need and ability within each teaching group, and you will have a good understanding of engagement of students, assessment and monitoring student progress. Previous experience of working with SEMH and challenging students is highly desirable but not essential and applications from colleagues currently in mainstream settings are greatly encouraged. The school is extremely well supported in its continual drive for excellence through its Governing Body and Academy Trust and the school is committed to CPD across its staff teams. Applicants must have their own transport due to the rural location of the school.

Grafham Grange School is a special school set in 42 acres of beautiful Surrey countryside in Grafham. Our school offers education and care for up to 52 students, referred from local authorities across the South of England from the age of 10 to 16 (Year 6 to Year 11).

All our students have Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) with SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) as their primary identified need, though the majority of students have additional special educational needs such as autistic spectrum conditions; speech, language and communication difficulties; ADHD; opposition defiance; medical conditions and attachment disorders.
