L2 Teaching Assistant - SEN and behavioural support job summary

Dunstable Icknield Lower School is looking for a committed, professional Teaching Assistant to join our wonderful school as part of a large team. We are seeking an energetic, positive professionals who is passionate about supporting every child, whatever their learning needs, to be the best they can be. The vacancy is supporting children with additional learning needs under the direction of the SENDCo and class teacher. The hours are 08:30am to 3:30pm Mon-Fri term time only. We will consider appointments with fewer hours - please enquire.

Responsibilities within the role include assisting the class teacher to prepare resources for activities, supervising and attending to the needs of individual learners and providing support in classes where needed. The role includes supervision and support for children during playtimes.

The successful applicants will have at least a L2 Teaching Assistant qualification and have a minimum of one years' experience in a primary school or nursery setting. Experience working with children with additional learning needs would be beneficial. We reserve the right to interview and appoint sooner for the right applicant.
