L3 Apprenticeship Teaching Assistant job summary

Post Title Key L3 Apprentice Teaching Assistant Reporting to Headteacher/Deputy Headteacher

Salary: Apprenticeship Year 1 (12 months) based on current Government Apprenticeship Salary - £8 per hour, final 6 months are paid at £10.85 if aged between 19-20 or £12.71 if aged 21 or over

Start Date: Ideally October 2026

Hours: 08:35-15:15 with a 30 minute unpaid lunch (30.83 hours per week)

Contract Type: Term time only, fixed term 18 months contract starting ASAP

Location: Harpole Primary School

Purpose of the Role:

To support the learning and development of pupils across Years R to 6, working alongside class teachers to deliver high-quality education. The post holder will provide support within classrooms and lead or assist with small group and individual intervention sessions to help pupils reach their full potential.

The post offers opportunities for professional growth and development within a supportive school environment. The successful candidate will receive appropriate apprenticeship training, release time and ongoing support to complete the apprenticeship, develop their skills and progress in their career.
