Lady Seaward's Primary, Exeter - Breakfast Club Playworker, 5 hours per week, term time job summary

First Federation Trust, a Multi Academy Trust of 29 primary schools across Devon and West Dorset is looking to recruit a temporary Breakfast Club Playworker to start as soon as possible at Lady Seaward's Primary at Clyst St George on the outskirts of Exeter.

The position is for 5 hours per week, term time only until 31st August 2025. We are looking for a warm and caring individual to care for the safety and wellbeing of children from 7.45-8.45am every morning.

The key purpose of the job is to:

  • Safeguard children during the breakfast period
  • Preparing and assisting with activities for the children on site
  • Supervising any relevant meals/snacks required

You should:

  • Be able to build a strong and appropriate rapport with children;
  • Demonstrate the aptitude to work as part of a successful team;
  • Have effective communication skills;
  • Be able to support children in their play, while maintaining the children's safety and following the school's behaviour guidelines;
  • Be able to demonstrate good food hygiene practices and follow the school health and safety policies
