What skills and experience we're looking for

We are seeking a high performing, dynamic Lead Behaviour Manager (LBM) to play a lead role in managing behaviour and contributing to the further development of our behaviour strategy. The postholder will be based at St James Academy and will work closely with a well established and highly effective Senior Leadership Team. In this key role, the LBM will support the Assistant Principal for Behaviour to lead on a critical aspect of our provision and contribute to the further development and improvement of the academy.

What the school offers its staff

The Trust has a proven track record in school improvement and is fully committed to providing a first-class education for every single learner. The Trust is also committed to providing excellent career development and leadership opportunities for all staff. With the DfE’s approval for further growth, there has never been a better time to join us.

At St James Academy, we are determined to become a centre of excellence for young people who live in central Dudley. We have already achieved some impressive results.

Since joining the Trust, St James is the most improved school in the Borough for grades achieved at GCSE and for passing Maths and English at Grade 5 or above. In fact, the proportion of learners achieving Grade 5 or higher in both English and Mathematics has doubled!

Our academy achieved above the national average for the progress made by learners and above the average for Dudley.

An increasing number of departments have achieved 100% GCSE pass rates, and our ambition is that this should extend to every area as quickly as possible.

Our philosophy is simple: we will ensure the success of our learners through outstanding teaching, positive behaviour and embracing the talents of each individual.
