What skills and experience we're looking for
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-to-one and small group mentoring to students with behavioural, emotional, or social difficulties.
- Support students in managing their behaviour and developing strategies for success.
- Work collaboratively with teaching staff, pastoral teams, parents and external agencies.
- Monitor and track student progress, maintaining accurate records and reports.
- Promote a positive and inclusive school culture.
- Be an active member of the Safeguarding Team in the role of Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead

- Experience working with young people, dealing with difficult situations relating to poor behaviour.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- A calm, patient, and empathetic approach.
- Ability to build positive relationships and manage challenging behaviour.

Winston Way is a three form entry primary school in Ilford, East London. The school caters for children from Nursery to Year 6 (3-11 year olds) with 660 children currently on roll. Winston Way Academy is part of United Learning, a large multi-academy trust across England, who believe that everyone can strive for excellence.
