Lead Cover Supervisor Full Time – Suitable for NQT’s Contract: Permanent Hours: Term time, plus inset days (39 weeks) 37 hours per week. Monday to Thursday 07:30-15:30. Friday 07:30-15:00 Salary Range: H4 £20,043 - £21,269 (FTE) salary negotiable for the right candidate Closing Date: Midday 4th July 2022 Interviews: TBC Start Date: ASAP The lead cover Supervisor plays an important role in our Academy, maintaining continuity of education for students in the absence of their regular teacher, ensuring that the work set is understood and completed and promoting high standards of conduct and learning. We provide training and induction, including behaviour management skills. There will be opportunities to observe good practice of both classroom teachers and other cover supervisors in order to develop good practitioner skills. The Lead Cover Supervisor will be responsible for; Managing and organising cover for absent teaching staff; Organising and providing induction and support for supply staff. Managing the early staff absence line; Liaising with agencies. The post is an ideal stepping stone for anyone seeking a career in education and a number of our former cover supervisors have gone on to complete teacher training successfully. Although prior experience is not essential, you should have a commitment to working with young people. In addition to cover supervision, the successful candidate will be expected to cover some TA duties.
