What skills and experience we're looking for

This position of Lead Practitioner of Mathematics is a key appointment and the successful candidate will be part of a dynamic team with a wide ranging array of responsibilities who, over the last four years have transformed Maths at BDB. You must be passionate about learning, creative in the classroom and believe that all students can achieve.

As the successful applicant, you will have:

  • Expertise in planning the progression of subject skills within individual and across sequences of lessons.
  • Proven track record of outstanding Mathematics teaching including marking and assessment.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the subject requirements for Mathematics.
  • Successful experience of teaching Mathematics at Key Stage 3 and 4 and have experience of outreach work at Key Stage 1 and 2.
  • Proved track record of delivering strong progress outcomes.
