Are you an experienced and outstanding Science teacher ready to lead, inspire, and elevate practice across a team?

Manchester Academy High School is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Lead Practitioner of Science to drive excellence in teaching, learning, and student outcomes across our Science department. This is an exciting opportunity for a proven classroom practitioner who is passionate about sharing their expertise, developing colleagues, and enhancing the quality of education for all students.

As Lead Practitioner, you will have at least 2 years of teaching experience, you will model outstanding teaching and play a key role in raising standards across the department. Through coaching, mentoring, and collaboration, you will support colleagues to refine their practice and deliver high‑quality lessons that secure strong outcomes for every student. Working closely with department leaders, you will also contribute to curriculum development, assessment, and professional learning.
