What skills and experience we're looking for

To be the Lead Practitioner for Science, working across the department to leading the development of quality practice in the subject area. To work as part of the whole academy“Teaching & Learning Team” in developing excellence in teaching practice, leading topositive student outcomes.

The Lead Practitioner will support the Science department, providing strategic support by:

  • Delivering outstanding Teaching and Learning within lessons and intervention sessions.
  • Providing a coaching and mentoring role for staff and students in intervention programmes within the department.
  • Providing evaluative feedback on the impact of learning strategies on student progress to senior and middle leaders.
  • Providing Continuing Professional Development (CPD) to teachers within the department.
