Lead Practitioner Science job summary
Due to the promotion of the current postholder to the Senior Leadership Team, we are now recruiting an outstanding teacher to become a Lead Practitioner across the Science Faculty. You will lead on curriculum, teaching, learning & assessment across the Science Faculty and contribute to the wider College. As a central part of the team, you will provide excellent support for colleagues on their journey to outstanding, whilst maintaining your own excellent standards each day in the classroom.
You will be an outstanding Science teacher, with a proven record of ‘outstanding’ results and demonstrable evidence of improving the practice of others. Responsibilities will include the sharing of best practice, mentoring underperforming colleagues and embedding systems and practices that lead to improved outcomes for all students. You will have a confident and empathic approach to mentoring colleagues and will lead on training and development both within the Science Faculty and across the wider College. The ability to teach to A-Level is desirable, not essential.
