Contract type: Permanent - Full time - 37 hours per week
Reporting to: Assistant Headteacher / SENDCO
Start date: 1st September 2026
Working Pattern: This role will work Term Time + 2 Weeks

The Foundation’s central offices are based at Sir John Deane’s Sixth Form College campus set in beautiful grounds.
This role is based at The County High School, Leftwich, which is a high performing, fully inclusive, co-educational, 11-16 school with approximately 1050 students, 60 teaching and 60 support staff. The school serves a mixed catchment area with a Published Admission Number of 210, and we are now significantly over-subscribed.

About the Role
We are looking for an inspiring and dedicated Lead SEND Practitioner to join our thriving, hardworking SEND team at The County High School Leftwich on a permanent basis.
You will be responsible for providing high quality support for students, including teaching small groups; for planning and delivering targeted interventions and helping to remove barriers to learning so that students can make strong progress, develop confidence and participate fully in school life.
Your Responsibilities

What we are looking for
- GCSE or equivalent in English, Maths or Science
- Knowledge of the national secondary education system and an understanding of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities
- Successful experience of working in education / school
- Enthusiasm for learning and the ability to generate this in others with a commitment to developing strength and depth in subject knowledge
- The ability to inspire students to reach their individual potential.
