Ditton Park Academy is seeking an exceptional and ambitious teacher to lead our whole-school commitment to adaptive and inclusive teaching. This is a key Middle Leadership position for an individual who is passionate about ensuring that every student, regardless of need, background or starting point, can thrive within a culture of high expectations and excellent teaching.
The successful candidate will lead the strategic development of adaptive and inclusive practice across the academy, working alongside curriculum leaders, SLT, the SENDCo and pastoral teams. Their aim will be to ensure all staff have the knowledge, confidence and expertise to deliver high-quality teaching that meets the needs of every learner.
This role would suit an experienced Middle Leader with expertise in SEND, inclusion, curriculum adaptation, pedagogy and staff development.
The duties of a teacher are outlined in the latest Schoolteachers’ Pay and Conditions Document. This post carries a TLR allowance in addition to the postholder’s substantive salary.
Purpose of the Role:
To provide strategic leadership for adaptive and inclusive teaching across the academy, ensuring that all students have access to an ambitious curriculum through excellent classroom practice. The postholder will champion evidence-informed approaches to inclusion, develop staff expertise, and support leaders to create highly effective learning environments where all students can succeed.
Qualification criteria
ü Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
ü Degree or equivalent qualification
ü Evidence of relevant professional development in teaching, SEND, inclusion or leadership
ü Successful teaching experience with a strong track record of student progress
ü Experience of leading teaching and learning improvement
ü Experience of supporting students with a wide range of learning needs
ü Experience of coaching, mentoring or developing colleagues
ü Experience of analysing data to drive improvement
ü Experience as a Middle Leader, such as a SENDCo, Assistant SENDCo, or Lead Teacher

Ditton Park Academy is an exciting new free school which opened in 2014. Since this time we have grown as both a staff and student body, moved into our brand new £19 million Academy site, achieving our first set of fantastic GCSE results and then opening our brand new Sixth Form in September 2019.
Ditton Park Academy is the first school opened by The SASH Education Trust (Slough Association for Secondary Headteachers) and we benefit enormously from the support and collaboration of the 13 secondary Head Teachers in Slough.
