Lead Teacher of Design and Technology job summary

The Coleshill School is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed Lead Teacher of Design and Technology to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and passionate Design and Technology teacher to take on a leadership role within the department, supporting the development of the subject and helping to ensure that students receive an engaging, challenging and high-quality curriculum.

The successful candidate will be passionate about Design and Technology and committed to inspiring students to develop their creativity, practical skills and problem-solving abilities. You will have high expectations of yourself and others and be keen to contribute to the continued development of teaching and learning across the subject.

About you

We are looking for someone who:

  • Is an enthusiastic and committed teacher of Design and Technology.
  • Has a passion for their subject and can inspire students to develop their creativity and practical skills.
  • Has the experience and confidence to take a lead role within the Design and Technology department.
  • Can support colleagues and contribute to the development of high-quality teaching and learning.
  • Can plan and deliver engaging lessons that meet the needs of learners with a range of abilities.
  • Has high expectations of students and is committed to achieving positive outcomes.
  • Can develop students' design, problem-solving and practical skills.

  • Works collaboratively with colleagues and contributes positively to the wider school community.
