Learning and Pastoral Inclusion Mentor job summary
The Hazeley Academy is seeking to appoint a Learning & Pastoral Support Mentor to work within our R2L (Return to Learn) department within the Personalisation team. You will help to provide a complementary service to that of Progress Leaders, teachers and other support staff who have responsibility for addressing the needs of students requiring help in meeting their potential and removing barriers to attainment. A key focus of this role will be to oversee and assist in the smooth and effective running of a year group. A full job description is available.
You will provide excellent pastoral care, guidance and support whilst developing effective links with parents, carers and other stakeholders.
The ideal candidate will have:
• Proven experience in a similar role
• The ability to relate well to children and gain their trust and respect
• High expectations for the students they support
